Formula 1 Budapest 2009 - F1

Next year at Hungaroring we will meet again! The dates are available, and you better book your hotel, apartment or camping as soon as possible. This year the Formula 1 in Budapest (Hungaroring) was won by Heikki Kovalainen, but who will win next year? Tickets can already be ordered from here.

So the dates... July 24 - July 26! The stars are coming to Budapest, so you better be here as well!

Heikki Kovalainen won the Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix 2008

Heikki Kovalainen won the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Budapest 2008. He is a teammember of Lewis Hamilton who got a defect at his car, and only managed to end up at a fifth place because of that.

The Formula 1 season goes on, but for those who wants to see more Formula 1 in Budapest, they still have to wait another year!

How to get to the Formula 1 (Hungaroring) with public transportation!

The Formula 1 (F1) in Budapest is closing up and people are slowly arriving to Budapest in these days. Several people are curious in that occasion how to get to the Hungaroring with public transportation. Below you will find quoted the information to be found at the official Formula One Grand Prix Hungary 2008 page:

How do I get to the circuit by car?
The racetrack is about 22 km from the center of Budapest. Leaving Budapest, follow the M3 highway. Here you can download a map of how to get there.

How do I get to the circuit by public transportation?
With the free shuttle bus:
A shuttle bus leaves for the circuit from the bus station on the Pest side of the Árpád Bridge.
The service is free of charge for all passengers presenting a vaild ticket for the Formula One.
Point of departure at Árpád bridge Pest side, point of arrival, Mogyoród church square.

Point of departures:
Friday
Árpád bridge: from 07.30 till 11.00 every 30 minutes
Mogyoród church square: from 16.00 till 19.00 every 30 minutes

Saturday
Árpád bridge: from 07.30 till 11.00 every 15 minutes
Mogyoród church square: from 16.00 till 19.00 every 15 minutes

Sunday
Árpád bridge: from 07.30 till 12.00 every 15 minutes
Mogyoród church square: from 15.30 till 17.00 every 15 minutes

By train:
Train service also exists. The train (called the Gödöllõi HÉV) leaves the Örs Vezér tér station every half an hour beginning at 4:30 a.m., stopping at the temporary train station named "Hungaroring". Please find the exact timetable at www.bkv.hu. The train is not free of charge, costing approx. HUF 430,00 for a one way ticket. (1€ = approx. HUF 230)
