20th of August - Red Bull Air Race, Fireworks and more

The 20th of August is the nameday of Stephen (Istvan) in Hungary, and since Stephen was the name of the first king of Hungary who later was made a Saint, it is a day of great celebration. During the daytime all visitors can enjoy the sounds and the sight of the Red Bull Air Race, where the leading competitors from the world come together for a race in Budapest. During the race the flights make super maneuvers in the air, and they also fly under the Chain Bridge.

In the evening from 9pm to 9.30pm there will be great fireworks, so be by the Danube, between the Liberty Bridge and the Chain Bridge in that period, and you will be able to enjoy great fireworks!
