Page Rank Update (December 31-2008)

I guess this has nothing to do with Budapest, but on the last day of 2008 it was a Page Rank update. That means that the values of the Google Toolbar has changed. For our page nothing changed, which means we are still standing at Page Rank 4, which we are quite satisfied with, though it would be cool to get a little big higher somehow. Considering the fact that we have our birthday tomorrow (hungarybudapestguide.com is then 1 year old) I am though quite happy about having page rank 4.

At this page rank update not to much happened within our pages, except from the fact that our restaurant page and the page with the history of Hungary suddenly jumped from 0 page rank to 3.

No BKV strike! (strike update December 18.)

In these days when there are strikes everywhere it is great to hear that there will be no BKV strike. BKV is the company running the public transportation in Budapest, and they were planning to strike today. But, late yesterday evening they came into an agreement with their employees, so the strike was cancelled.

Airport
At the airport everyhing is in order, and though workers are still striking, they now manage to let all traffic arrive and depart as planned from Ferihegy. All traffic still arrives and departs from Ferihegy 2.

Train
The strike is still active, and it is impossible to know anything about what trains are going and what trains that are suffering because of the strike. MAV workers have told that they will not strike on 24-26 December, which will help the christmas traffic a lot, but they will probably continue the strike from the 27 December if they have not managed to solve the problems before that.

Page Rank Update [27th September - 2008]

Slowly, but moving upwards! Waking up this morning looking at the Page Rank tool in Mozilla I noticed that the white bar had become a little bit greener. It no longer had only three places filled, but now four, which means we have increased our Page Rank by one since the last Page Rank update in the end of July. That is great, and hopefully it will continue in that direction!

For those who do not understand what Page Rank is about, it is a ranking system Google uses to decide how important and good a page is. The higher the rank, the more litely it will show up on the top of the searches people do in the search engine.
