The Castle The Hungarian castle is beautiful as it is situated at the bank of the river Danube. Especially during nighttime, when it is flashlighted, it is a sight for the eye. They first started building on the hills of Buda after the mongolian invasion in 1241. In that time they also made Buda the capital of Hungary. Since then the castle has been improved and built out several times, but we must mention that it has also been destroyed and attacked during different wars and independence fights just as many times.Inside the castle you can find the biggest library in Hungary, the Hungarian National Gallery and the Budapest History Museum.
