Day-trip to the Christmas Market in Vienna The Christmas Markets in Budapest are getting better and better, but only 2 1/2 hour away from Budapest you can find a Christmas Market even more famous and popular; the Christmas Market in Vienna. In 2009 the Christmas Market in Vienna starts November 14th and lasts until December 24. In this period the entire city is turned into a nostalgic and romantic city with concerts and nativity displays and traditional Christmas markets. The most famous Christmas Market is the one at the "Rathausplatz" in Vienna, and this is probably where you will spend most of the time during such a day-trip.This trip is the ideal solution if you want to visit another Christmas Market in addition to the Christmas Market in Budapest! The trip starts with pick-up at your Budapest hotel around 09.00 and arrival to Vienna around 11.30-12.00. In Vienna you will be dropped off at a set meeting point in the center close to the Christmas Market and the departure back to Budapest will be at 19.00 from the meeting point. You are free to do whatever you want during your hours in Vienna! This trip will only start with a minimum of 4 participants. The price per person is 15,000 Forint, and contains transfer to/from Vienna. Parts of the payment is normally done in advance, the rest before start on travel-day.
