Balatonfüred

As a tourist Balatonfüred is one of the best places in the area around Lake Balaton. It might not be the most “beachy” place of them all, but if you want nice strolls in the evening along Lake Balaton, this is the place. The Rabindranath Tagore promenade is a beautiful walk along the lake, in a nice environment. Here you have chairs and benches were you can sit down, and a little bit away you can find a shopping street with shops. A bit further away you have a shopping mall with few shops, but a big Tesco can come handy if you need something!

There are some sights and attractions in Balatonfüred, but from the perspective of a tourist they are not really to interesting either.

Excursion ideas:
A visit to Tihany or to Heviz… or a day trip to Budapest!

Hotels:
Balatonfüred has quite some nice hotels… Some of them are 4 star hotels with nice wellness on the inside, while some are not at all too nice. If you want a nice wellness hotel for some relaxing days in Balatonfüred, we can warmly  recommend Anna Grand Hotel (an old-fashioned, classic Hungarian hotel). This hotel does not have its own beach, so if you look for hotel with private beach during summertime, you might want to find some other!
