Fast Food For some this is not interesting. If they first come to Hungary, they want to eat real Hungarian food. For someone this is safety and joy, as they sit down and eat the same hamburger as they would do at home. If you belong to the last group, do not worry... Hungary has almost everything, except from Starbucks (but that is on the way)! Fastfood chains in Budapest- Subway- McDonalds - Burger King - Pizza Hut - Kentucky Fried Chicken - Nordsee - Chinese Fast Food (Try it, if you haven't tried it before) The first McDonalds came to Budapest and Central/Eastern Europe in 1988. It can be found in Regiposta Utca which can be reached from the Vaci Utca. Burger King came to Hungary a little bit later than McDonalds, but in 1991 they opened their second restaurant in Budapest, which at that time was the biggest Burger King restaurant in the world! All of the fast-food chains above can be found in Budapest, so don't worry... If you go outside Budapest you will normally find McDonalds around and sometimes Burger King!
