Raday Utca

Raday utca (the Raday Street) is a very nice restaurant street. It starts from the Kalvin Square and during most of the street (streching in the direction of the Petöfi Bridge) you can find nice outdoor and indoor restaurants and coffeebars. It is just as popular among many as the Franz Liszt square.

For a long time it has been quite hard to see the restaurant street from Kalvin square, due to the construction of metro line number four in Budapest. The work is still in progress, but you can know for sure that behind the work and everything going on you can find this restaurant street with a nice atmosphere. It is still a strange feeling to the street, as a road is in the middle making it possible for cars and only public transportation bus to travel in the street. It kind of destroys the super restaurant feeling of the street, but no need to complain, it is still a wonderful street which everyone should visit!

The most famous restaurant in Raday Utca is Costes, the first Hungarian restaurant to ever get a Michelin star. Congratulations! The restaurant is located next to the only hotel in the street, IBIS Budapest Centrum.

Below you can see a list mentioning some of the restaurants to be found in the Raday Street:
Pink Cadillac
Soul Cafe & Restaurant
Shiraz
Costes

Hello there. Ibis Budapest Centrum is located in Raday Utca, Hotel Kalvin House is only one block away from the street… these are three star hotels. If you want a nicer hotel, then Boutique Zara is quite close and good quality (also very close to Vaci Utca, the shopping street).
