This year there will be a new festival in Budapest called the Hal and Vadfesztivál (Fish and Game Festival). The festival will open its gates the first time and there will be a lot of events and programs to choose from. In Hungarian hal means fish and vad refers to meat which means there will be plenty of food and where food is there will be a lot to drink as well. The first Hal and Vadfesztivál will take place at the Vajdahunyad castle. At the festival visitors can enjoy all kind of traditional Hungarian meals from different region of the country and of course visitors will have the chance to try the authentic halászlé, which is a traditional Hungarian soup with fish. The Szegedi Halászcsárda is responsible for the traditional halászlé. During the festival visitors not only can enjoy the food and drinks but there will be plenty other programs as well to choose from such as the market with the best quality goods. The festival will take place from 19th until 21st September 2014. The entrance for the festival is for free.

This is the biggest festival of sweets in Hungary. The festival takes place in the capital of Hungary, Budapest. This has been the fourth year since the first chocolate and sweets festival was held in Budapest.

During the festival the most popular Hungarian brands Bonbonier, Szamos and Bonbonetti will present themselves. There will be traditional Hungarian sweets and pastries and there will be several programs where you can learn how to bake the most delicious Hungarian pastries. The festival is considered one of the best chocolate and sweets festival in Europe. The ‘So delicious fashion show’ is one of the biggest highlights of the festival. The festival this year will take place in Budapest from 19th September to 21st September 2014.

Wine festival between September 10th and 14th in 2014

Wine tastingThe International Wine festival which is arranged every year in the Buda castle area will be arranged between September 10th and 14th in 2014. If you are in the mood for tasting Hungarian wine, then this is the number 1 festival in Hungary for that purpose.

At the festival you can taste somewhere between 4000 and 5000 different Hungarian wines, so no need to worry, you will have plenty of things to taste and to do if you decide to stay at the festival for five days. Of course you will need to sleep at some other location, but you can come when the doors open to the festival at 12.00 or 14.00 every day and stay until it closes! Enjoy the festival!

This is a cool marathon with thousands of competitors every year.
