If you like dancing you might like Lord of the Dance. They are coming to Budapest in the spring of 2010 and they will perform in the SYMA Hall. The band was formed in 1981 and has it origins in Los Angeles and they have sold more than 50 million albums in the United States alone. Now they are coming to Budapest, and it might be that they will not join us on a guided tour, but if we and you would like to see them I guess the best way is to grab hold of a ticket to the concert which will be held at the Puskas Ferenc Stadium.

I just thought Id write a short notice that currently it is snowing in Budapest. It is not much, and it can not really be seen on the streets, but from the sky some nice, white snowflakes come down. You can read more about the weater in Budapest at our weather page!
I guess this means that there will be real Christmas atmosphere at the Christmas Market today.
Volbeat is coming to Budapest in 2010 and they will perform in Diesel Klub near Népliget. Volbeat is a danish rock band who have performed earlier at the famous Roskilde Festival in Denmark. The Budapest concert will be held March 5, starting at 19.00.

The Christmas Market in Budapest is a giant success every year, and every day crowds walk around the Vörösmarty Square in Budapest to drink hot wine from Budapest mugs and to enjoy the nice christmas shows, music and shopping opportunities. The Christmas Market this year lasts until December 29, so if you have not seen it yet, you still have the chance. Some weeks ago we mentioned that a new Trofea Grill were to be opened in Király Utca in Budapest, and now it has been open for almost a month. It is located in the former location of Donatellas Kitchen and it is very similar to the other Trofea Grill restaurants in Budapest. One of the specialities in this new Trófea Grill restaurant is that they serve something no other Trofea Grill restaurants does… pizza!
They prepare one kind of pizza and if you would like a piece you have to tell one of the waiters! It did not taste too good as I ate it, but they still said that many people (including italiens) really do like their pizza!
For shopping freaks who like H&M it is for sure good news that H&M now can be found in WestEnd Citycenter as well. For a long time WestEnd has been lacking this popular fashion shop but not along they opened up their new shop in WestEnd, so you do not have to go to centers such as Allee or Arena Plaza anymore to buy clothes from the swedish clothing company!
The new H&M shop is located next to Media Markt, beneath the floor where you can find Palace Cinemas and above the floor where you can find C&A.
A new exhibition is coming to the Museum of Fine Arts located at the Heroes Square in Budapest. The full name of the exhibition is: “The Alchemy of Beauty: Parmigianino – Drawings and Prints”. It seems as if the Museum of Fine Arts likes Italy as this is their third exhibition in a row featuring paintings and works of Italians!

The graceful elegance of Parmigianino’ works was regarded by his contemporaries and the succeeding generations as the perfection of style. The Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest does not preserve any of his paintings, however, we own an extensive collection of his drawings and prints. Parmigianino was a passionate and prolific draughtsman. Almost one thousand sheets have survived, representing the richest drawing oeuvre of sixteenth-century Italy, with the exception of Leonardo. The diversity of the themes and techniques of the twenty autograph drawings in the Collection of Prints and Drawings represent every period of the artist’s career and provide an insight into his magnificent art.
