There is no such thing as one brand cheaper than the others. In general, the cheapest brands are SPAR, Lidl, Aldi, Tesco, and Auchan. If you find any of these brands, you can feel safe that you will buy most of the goods at fairly good prices. There are, of course, big differences on different goods if you compare the stores. In one, you might find cheaper meat, while another store has cheaper coffee, and a third might have cheaper bread, but more expensive alcoholic drinks.
Once again, there is not a fix answer to this question, but SPAR, Lidl, Tesco, Aldi, and Auchan are considered the best and the cheapest brands.

The dates are not yet published, but we have made some estimations and guesses in the following article:They will most likely open around November 17th, maybe one week earlier, but if you book a flight for one week later (that is for the weekend of November 24th), then you will for sure be able to enjoy the Christmas markets in Budapest. If you want to be even more sure, then they will guaranteed be open in all of December, unless we suddenly get a COVID-19 version 2 forcing everything to close down.
There are several great kosher restaurants in Budapest. They are mostly there in the seventh district in the surroundings of the Dohany Utcai synagogue, so that is where you should walk around if you want to bump into a restaurant while walking.

November is a month in which you can be extremely lucky, but you can also be unlucky. What does that mean? It all depends on what you like, but if you are lucky, you can enjoy very nice temperatures and sunshine in November, meaning you have 10 Celsius and sunshine, making it feel very nice.
But, it is also possible to get a really cold wind and 0 degrees, which makes it feel like it is freezing colds. The best suggestion is to look at the weather forecast a few days before you travel as it will give you a little feeling about what you can expect. But it is important to prepare for cold weather and wind, as it is easier to remove a layer of clothes compared to putting on clothes you never brought along.
2000 HUF is a lot, but it also depends a lot on where you are and the size of the Sekler Cake. If it is a giant sized Sekler Cake at a popular location (like a Christmas market or a Spring market), it is expensive, but not extremely expensive. If it is small in size and at a not central location, it is definitely expensive.
You will find locations selling Sekler Cakes at 600-1000 HUF, but these are often smaller in size, and they are not always prepared at the traditional way.

New York is an extremely busy and popular place in Budapest, especially in the summer and during weekends. It is only possible to book a table here from 18.00 in the evening. Between opening at 8:00 and 18:00, no reservations are possible and you enter at the order of arrival. In other words, you might have to stand in line if you arrive during a busy time. Madame Tussauds opened in May 2023 in Budapest. It is located in Dorottya utca which is in the very center of Budapest, very close to Vörösmarty tér, the square of the traditional Christmas market in Budapest. The easiest way to get to this area by public transportation is with the yellow metro line to the end station Vörösmarty utca, or with tram line number two to Vigadó tér.
The entrance fees vary a bit, but a standard adult entrance fee is 12500 HUF per person which is approximately 35 euros.
It very much depends on your needs and desires. Many will say that after a couple of hours you have mostly explored the streets and the stores, and possibly a church or two, and then you are ready to eat something before heading back to Budapest.
The city has a great atmosphere, but it lacks additional programs, so unless you just want to relax, eat some good food, and drink coffee, without doing too much other stuff, you could stay for days. However, if you want interesting programs, lots of museums, a wide selection of restaurants, and other programs, it is better to stay in Budapest and only spend a couple of hours or half-a-day in Szentendre.

there is no cheap option in the city center of Budapest, so it is mostly parking houses that are expensive or parking lots of different hotels or shopping malls. You could check with West End City Center which is a big mall quite centrally where you can park. Another option is the Arena Plaza which might be a good second option.
But, if you want a much cheaper option then to park at Köki Terminal (where you can leave your car for days for a little fee), and then travel by metro or something from there to your hotel seems to be one of the best options to me.

Yes, the Marcipan museum in Szentendre is still open and available, and little has changed. It is normally open between 9:00 and 19:00 and the entrance fee is the only thing that has changed, as it is now 1000 HUF per person (it iwas 500 HUF per person before COVID).
This is one of the most common questions from people coming to Budapest. Since Budapest is in Hungary, which is by many considered Eastern Europe, there is an average thought in the mind of many people that the water is dangerous. I should say that many people ask the same question as they arrive to other even more famous in other parts of Europe as well, so it doesn’t necessarily has to do with whether people are skeptical to things in Hungary or not.
But, truth be told, the water in Budapest coming from the tap is totally safe to drink, meaning that you don’t need to worry about it being contaminated or dangerous. In other words, drink it freely and brush your teeth without worrying.
Some people say that it tastes a lot of chlorine. If you feel like that, buy some other things to drink instead. The fact that it is safe to drink doesn’t mean that you have to like it. But you can at least know that it is completely harmless!
The price for 1/2 liter beer in a grocery store will normally vary between 300 HUF and 500 HUF, depending on the actual store and whether they have any discounts available or not.
A bottle of Heineken (or a can) of half a liter currently costs 400 HUF in Auchan, one of the most popular and cheapest stores for groceries in Budapest, meaning that it is approximately 1,15 euros. Things change quickly, so who knows whether the prices will continue upwards due to inflation, or if they might stagnate and maybe even decrease in the future.
All in all, you will normally pay between 300-500 HUF for a can of 0,5L beer in Budapest in a normal grocery store.
There is an office for BKK in the arrival hall at Budapest Airport in terminal 2A. There you can find information and buy tickets and more. As you leave the terminal, you will also find ticket machines between terminals 2A and 2B, and that is also where the actual bus stops, making it an ideal solution if you want to buy tickets for the public transportation in Budapest at the airport.
