The Heroes Square/Hösök Tere This square was made for the millennium in 1896, celebrating that the Hungarian came to this area thousand years earlier. Everything around it was made for then, and though the square has been improved since then, everything still has its origin back then.On the square you can see the tomb in memory of the dead heroes of Hungary. Behind it you can see the tribeleaders that lead the Hungarians into this territory around 896. On the top of the statue you can see the archangel Gabriel with the Hungarian crown in his right hand, and the double cross in his left. Behind you can see two colonnades, each with 7 important personalities from Hungary's history. On both sides of the square you can see a Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Arthall. If you want to visit a gallery on your stay in Budapest, we recommend the museum of Fine Arts.
