Night shots from Heroes Square
Today is the last day of February, and the spring is about to come. We hope the pictures below can make your day more enjoyable, and maybe inspire you to come visit Budapest in 2009. If so, book your hotel/apartment, join us on a guided tour and make 2009 a beautiful year visiting Budapest!
The Heroes Square
The Heroes Square in Budapest was built for the millenium celebration in 1896. During the preparations for the millenium a lot of changes were done in the city, and one of them were the making of the Heroes Square. Some changes have taken place at the square since then, but we can for sure say that the square is one of the most beautiful places in Budapest.
At the pictures below taken from Heroes Square by night you can see the Archangel Gabriel, two colonnades with different statues (famous Hungarian personalities), the seven tribe leaders leading the Hungarians into Hungary in 896… and at both sides of the square you can visit a museum; the Museum of Fine Arts and the Art Hall.

Ice skating in Budapest (pictures)
During the winter lots of people go to the City Park to go iceskating. It is possible to borrow skates for those who does not have skates, so that makes it possible for tourists visiting Budapest to try it as well. Yesterday we were out walking in the city, and it was quite dark and cloudy! We made some pictures while walking, so in the little slideshow you can for example see the synagogue, the Gellert Hill, the Castle and Zara Boutique Hotel. For more pictures, check out our picture page.

Today we updated the design of our blog, and from now it will be a part of the standard design of the “Guide to Budapest“. We hope this will make it easier for you readers, and that you will find what you are looking for faster than before!
We daily receive emails from people wanting us to reserve tables for them at New Years eve.
