Just some more Budapest Pictures

Yet another time I just brought my camera as I walked around in Budapest (of course working with tourists), and below you can see some of the Budapest pictures. None of them are extraordinary, but they will still give a little feeling of what Budapest is like for those who have never been around in the capital of Hungary before.

On the pictures you can see the Matthias Church, the Fishermens Bastion, the Hungarian Parliament (all nice Budapest attractions) and the Ferihegy Airport (not so much of an attraction, but probably more people visit the airport than any other Budapest attraction, so its kind of nice to add a picture of the airport as well).

Pictures taken from Gellert Hill (by night)

Earlier this week we had a guided tour with a nice group of dutch people, and we reached the Gellert Hill by around 6.30. It was still quite bright, and no lights were turned on in Budapest. But then, around 6.50 the city turned into another one, almost like magic! The lights were turned on, and Budapest as we all love it became a reality. Below you can see some of the pictures we made.

Slideshow seen by more than 5000 people

Our slideshow with pictures from Budapest has now been seen by more than 5000 people. I must admit that we have much better pictures available now, so we could probably make a much better slideshow with the pictures available now… but this has become such a traditional slideshow, so we decide to let it stay!

But, for those who want more pictures, we recommend our Pictures page.

Chain Bridge Budapest
Chain Bridge Budapest

We love Budapest by night, and below you can see some pictures taken during an evening trip on the Danube with dinner and live gipsy music. The pictures only show Budapest, but the trip and the food was great as well. More information can be found on our Danube page.

As the autumn has come it is getting dark early in Budapest, so boat trips starting at 19.00 is an ideal timing for a good and nice, and maybe even romantic Danube trip in the dark.

Did you by the way know that Danube is the longest river in the European Union, and the second longest in Europe after the river Volga?

Norwegians celebrating May 17. in Budapest

May 17. is the Norwegian national day, celebrating the constitution they made in 1814. In Norway all children parade through their cities, and everyone eat ice cream and hot dogs. For the Norwegian students in Budapest that is something they would not want to miss, but since they live in Budapest they arrange something similar to that here. So last Sunday they marched around at Margaret Island singing norwegian songs, eating Hot Dogs and then having a longlasting celebration at Hold Udvar.

What made the celebration even bigger was the fact that Norway won the Eurovision Song Contest the night before!

Below you can see some pictures from the celebration, the Norwegian winner song from the Eurovision Song Contest and the participants at the May 17. celebration singing the Norwegian national song.

Warm and beautiful spring in Budapest

The trees are green and the sun is shining! The tourists are coming and they have added new pictures at the wall of the Citadella at the Gellert Hill! The temperatures are between 25-30 Celsius during daytime and life is wonderful. Some days ago it was full moon as well, and we happened to be on the Buda side looking towards the Parliament that evening, so we stopped the car and jumped out and tried to make a nice picture. We are not totally satisfied, but at least we managed to make some pictures 🙂

If you are coming to Budapest be sure to grab hold of one of our guides and join in on an unforgetable guided tour. While you wait and prepare check out the pictures below and the current temperature in Budapest!
