Starbucks to open in Budapest in 2010

I am starting to be fed up a little bit with the rumours about Starbucks coming to Budapest, the rumours of the fact that Starbucks already opened a cafe in West End, and later it turned out that no Starbucks opened at all.

Today, May 6th, a whole lot of Hungarian newspapers reported that Starbucks for sure will come to Budapest in 2010, finally. The international company AmRest Coffee
will be heading the Starbucks coffeeshop in Budapest, and with such a serious company supporting the coming of Starbucks, it might turn into reality, like it has in neighboring countries like Austria and Romania.

Modern Hungarian Lithography: National Gallery

The exhibition named Modern Hungarian Lithography can be seen in the Hungarian National Gallery between April 5th and June 30, 2010. Here the visitor can see the how this has been used in modern Hungary. What is lithography? According to Wikipedia it is “a method for printing  using a stone or a metal plate with a completely smooth surface. Invented in 1796 by Bavarian author Alois Senefelder as a low-cost method of publishing theatrical works, lithography can be used to print text or artwork onto paper or another suitable material.”
